Kaduna Police Storm Kidnappers’ Hideout, Rescue 23 Victims

Kaduna – The Kaduna State Police Command, in collaboration with the military, has successfully rescued 23 kidnapped victims during a well-coordinated operation.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, security forces acted on credible intelligence on February 2, 2025, regarding the movement of armed bandits in the Kajuru area. Led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru Division and backed by military personnel, the operatives stormed a forest near Doka Village in Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA), where they encountered the criminals attempting to relocate their captives to Kajuru Forest.

The ensuing confrontation saw security forces inflict heavy casualties on the bandits, forcing them to flee into the forest with gunshot wounds. This led to the successful rescue of 23 abducted victims, who had earlier been taken from Kauru LGA. The freed individuals have since been reunited with their families.

To prevent further criminal activities, security operatives have intensified surveillance and patrols in the area.

Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reassured residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to public safety. He reiterated that the police will continue working in alignment with Governor Sen. Uba Sani’s security vision, partnering with the military and other security agencies to combat crime and ensure lasting peace in the state.
