On Tuesday, the command handed over multi-million Naira assets to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Kano State High Court at the command headquarters. The items included two Cisco switches valued at over N400 million, along with computer sets, air conditioners, executive chairs, doors/windows, a photocopy machine, and legal publications, among others.
According to a statement from the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, these items belonged to the NCC’s Digital Industrial Park and the state High Court located at the Audu Bako Secretariat complex in Kano.
The equipment was recovered by the NSCDC shortly after being stolen by protesters. Mr. Suleiman Chido, representing the NCC Kano office, praised the NSCDC’s efforts and expressed hope for continued collaboration between the NCC and the corps. A representative from the state High Court also commended the NSCDC for its efforts.
NSCDC Commandant Mohammed Falala affirmed the command’s dedication to safeguarding national assets and infrastructure.
