The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has conveyed his condolences to the family of the late former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, who passed away at the age of 65 in Abuja on Wednesday morning after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed ailment, according to family sources….CONTINUE READING

In a tribute issued by his Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje praised Na’Abba as a dedicated politician and legislator who had the best interests of the country at heart. The Governor also highlighted Na’Abba’s significant role in promoting the independence of the legislative arm of government during his tenure as the 8th Speaker of the House of Representatives, even in the face of challenges from the executive arm.
Ganduje acknowledged Na’Abba’s unwavering commitment and resilience, particularly in the face of potential impeachment risks, and credited him with contributing to the achievements of the National Assembly. He emphasized Na’Abba’s service to Nigeria, describing his wit, intellect, diligence, and warm personality as legendary.
Expressing his sorrow, Ganduje prayed to Allah to grant Na’Abba Aljana Firdaus and provide strength and solace to his entire family, the people of Kano State, and all Nigerians as they cope with the loss.
