In a statement released by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Radda, the urgent need for reinforcements to effectively tackle the banditry issue in Katsina State and the surrounding region was emphasized.

Governor Radda, accompanied by senior officials, toured the impacted area to assess the situation and extend his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the entire community. Recognizing the legitimacy of the protests that ensued due to the incessant attacks, he urged residents to remain calm while assuring them that the government is taking swift action.

During the visit to Wurma, Governor Radda highlighted the ongoing initiatives by his administration to address security challenges. He disclosed the deployment of 100 security personnel to Birchi and pledged continuous support, including daily sustenance, for the affected victims. Expressing deep sorrow for the lives lost and the emotional distress experienced by the community, he sought unity and collaboration among residents to overcome the security crisis.

Governor Radda received appreciation from the community for his visit and leadership. Despite the acknowledged challenges, the community expressed unwavering support for the government’s efforts. The governor, in turn, appealed for peace and unity within the community, urging residents to cooperate with security forces to overcome the security crisis.

Reassuring the community, Governor Radda affirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators and restore peace to Katsina State.
