The emirs who received the vehicles include the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu-Bashar; Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad-Mera; Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi; and Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sani-Sami. Governor Idris expressed, “Your Royal Highnesses, my administration acknowledges the significance of all institutions.”

He noted that the government had also provided new vehicles to members of the House of Assembly, commissioners, security services, and heads of boards, departments, and agencies to enhance operational efficiency. Addressing the transportation challenges faced by the emirs, he remarked, “Today, we are resolving our royal fathers’ transportation issues, as you have been using old vehicles.”

Idris recognized the contributions of traditional rulers to national peace and stability, stating, “As a government, we understand the vital role traditional rulers play in maintaining harmony within communities.” He emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in fostering social cohesion and highlighted, “We must be vigilant in our responsibilities to uphold the esteem of these institutions.”

Regarding the significance of the vehicles, he said, “The vehicles presented to the emirs are the same as the one the governor rides. This is to maintain the dignity of the royal fathers. Wherever you go with these vehicles, you will be recognized as first-class emirs from Kebbi.”

In conclusion, Idris reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting traditional rulers, stating, “We rely on them as problem solvers; traditional institutions are vital for societal growth and prosperity.
