In a recent interview with Naija FM Lagos, Klint revealed that he originally pursued a music career while studying at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) in Enugu State.
He recounted that after watching 2Baba perform at a campus event, he realized he could not measure up and decided to leave the music scene.
“I used to be a musician until 2Baba performed at my school, IMT. When he got on stage during a campus event, I left the hall. The organisers asked me to stay and perform after him, and I agreed. But after hearing just two lines of his song, I went home,” Klint said. “I didn’t realize that my style and 2Baba’s style were different. If I had known, I might have continued making music. But thankfully, I didn’t, and I love where I am now.”
Klint Da Drunk was previously featured in the popular Nigerian hip-hop track Obodo by rapper Mr Raw, with whom he co-founded a music group. The group finished second in the 2002 Star Quest talent competition, losing to KC Presh.
Since transitioning to comedy, Klint Da Drunk has achieved significant success and starred in numerous Nollywood films, including Men On The Run, Madam 10/10, Fast Cash, and Lost Kingdom.
