This announcement came during a courtesy visit from the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Mohammad Sheidu, at the Government House in Lokoja. According to a statement from the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, Ododo emphasized the state’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property in Kogi.

Ododo highlighted the importance of improving police infrastructure, including the development of barracks and stations, as well as providing necessary logistics such as vehicles. These measures are intended to boost the welfare and operational efficiency of the police force in the state.

He urged Sheidu to leverage his position to enhance the effectiveness of the Police Trust Fund, and assured continued support from his office to aid in these efforts.

In response, Sheidu praised Ododo for the positive impact of his administration’s policies and programs, which he noted are significantly improving life in Kogi State.
