Kwara State Declares Monday Public Holiday In Celebration Of World Teachers’ DayGovernor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has declared Monday, October 7, 2024, a public holiday for teachers in recognition of World Teachers’ Day.

In a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Moddibo Kawu, the governor’s decision is aimed at honoring teachers for their contribution to human development through quality education and shaping young minds.

“The governor has approved this holiday for both public and private sector teachers as a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable work,” the statement read. “He wishes them a joyful and well-deserved holiday,” it added.
