Lady Breaks Silence After Receiving ₦770,000 NYSC Allowance Instead Of ₦77,000

A Nigerian lady has recounted an unforgettable experience from her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) days after she unexpectedly received ₦770,000 instead of the ₦77,000 allowance she was expecting.

The lady, identified online as Glowrites, revealed that she had never previously shared the experience with anyone, including her parents.

According to her account, she initially struggled to believe the amount that appeared in her account and reportedly checked the credit alert several times before showing it to her roommate. Her roommate was equally surprised by the unexpected payment.

The incident reportedly occurred at a particularly difficult period financially, making the substantial amount even more tempting for her.

Recounting the experience, she explained that she was extremely broke at the time and initially felt as though the unexpected ₦770,000 was a major breakthrough.

However, after considering the situation, she realised that the money was not rightfully hers. She said that despite her financial difficulties, she eventually decided not to keep the excess funds.

The former corps member described the moment as a serious test of her honesty, noting that it was easy to make the right decision until something highly tempting was placed directly in front of her.

She said the experience remained memorable because of the temptation she faced after seeing such a large amount of money in her account unexpectedly.

Looking back, the lady maintained that she was ultimately satisfied with her decision to return the money, saying the experience taught her a valuable lesson about integrity and doing what is right even when faced with financial difficulties.
