Addressing inquiries from Crime Reporters during the parade of suspects at the Command Headquarters, Fayoade explained that the delay in obtaining the report was attributed to the destruction of a state-of-the-art laboratory funded by the state government during the EndSARS protest.

MohBad, aged 27, passed away in September of the previous year amid controversial circumstances and was interred the following day. Subsequently, the nurse responsible for administering a vaccine to him was apprehended when her lack of licensing was discovered.

Responding to public outcry, the police initiated a panel to investigate the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s death. An autopsy was conducted on his exhumed body, but the results of the tests have not been made public.

Commissioner Fayoade lamented, “You will recall that some years back, the Lagos State government built a state-of-the-art laboratory; however, quite unfortunately, the same laboratory worth millions of naira was destroyed by urchins during the EndSARS protest. If that laboratory was not destroyed, we wouldn’t have had cause to send the sample from the deceased to the US for toxicology examination.”

Expressing disappointment in the delay, he added, “It is sad to say that we are yet to receive the toxicology report. We are still awaiting the arrival of the report from the US. We will make public the outcome when we receive it.
