Lagos Police Apprehend Gang Involved In Targeted Sexual Assaults Across Ikoyi, Lekki, And Surrounding Areas

The Lagos State Police have captured eight individuals from a gang implicated in the coercion and sexual assault of men. Reports indicate that this nefarious group specializes in subjecting their victims to prolonged instances of forced anal intercourse subsequent to robbing them of their possessions and money.

The apprehension of these assailants took place in the upscale neighborhoods of Lekki, Ajah, and Ikoyi. Authorities are actively pursuing the remaining members of this vicious gang, composed of young men ranging between the ages of 23 and 40.

According to sources within the police department speaking to Vanguard, the modus operandi of these criminals involves renting accommodations in affluent areas of the city. They then proceed to lure victims by posting job vacancies and posing as real estate agents in strategic locations.

Individuals responding to these deceptive advertisements are escorted to their apartments, often situated within flourishing estates. There, they are subjected to various forms of torture aimed at coercing them to divulge their bank account details. Subsequently, the gang members engage in forced anal intercourse with their victims.

Operating with luxury vehicles, including high-end SUVs, the gang strategically places fake ads across Lekki, Ajah, Banana Island, and Ikoyi, targeting well-groomed and healthy-looking men.

Upon successfully capturing a victim, they transport them to their residence for hours of torment. During these sessions, they extract personal information from the victim, including financial details.

“After obtaining this information, they proceed to the victim’s residence or banks to seize their assets and valuables,” explained a police source. “Their next step is subjecting the victim to hours of forced anal intercourse, which they record for later viewing pleasure while enjoying their ill-gotten gains.”

The criminal activities of this gang came to light after they ensnared and abused a relative of a mobile police officer, prompting an official complaint at a Lekki police station.

In response, Commissioner of Police Adegoke Fayoade directed a specialized unit to swiftly apprehend the culprits. This squad successfully infiltrated the gang, arresting seven members, including their senior member, purportedly a lawyer.

During interrogation, the gang members confessed to targeting healthy-looking men of various ages to fulfill their sexual desires through anal intercourse.

“They boastfully disclosed their extensive operations spanning over three years, emphasizing their preference for affluent areas where they can easily target well-built men,” revealed a police source.

Furthermore, concerns arose within the police department regarding the escape of some gang members, with suspicions that they continue their criminal activities elsewhere.
