The ban on NURTW had been enacted following a leadership crisis triggered by MC Oluomo’s suspension as the chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the union.

His suspension was due to alleged gross misconduct and abuse of office, as declared by the Prof. Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa-led administration.

However, Tajudeen Agbede, the factional president of NURTW, overruled MC Oluomo’s suspension and declared it null and void. With the ban lifted and the committee dissolved, the NURTW is expected to resume its activities in Lagos State.
