Over the weekend, Justice Arum Ashom, who presides over the Tribunal, announced the judgment date. The panel includes Justice Mikail Abdullahi and Justice Igho Braimoh.

Notably, the Tribunal received four Governorship Petitions, with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and the Action People’s Party (APP) as petitioners.

However, before the hearing of the petitions began, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and the Action People’s Party (APP) opted to withdraw their petitions.

The respondents in the PDP and Jandor’s petition include the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Labour Party, and its candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
