The governor emphasized that this schedule would be carefully coordinated, ensuring a systematic and organized approach to government activities.
In consideration of the unique nature of academic activities, teachers in public schools within the state will maintain a five-day work week. To further support public school educators, the administration will provide additional transport assistance.
Sanwo-Olu also announced a 25 percent reduction in state-owned transport services, effective from the upcoming weekend. Discussions with transport unions regarding fare reductions are also on the agenda.
To address the issue of food security, the governor disclosed plans to identify caterers and local eateries in each Local Government Area to provide meals for at least 1,000 people daily. These comprehensive measures reflect the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens during these challenging economic times.
