Regarding the allegations of certificate forgery, Amaechi pointed out that politicians seldom deny accusations of theft, forging academic or NYSC certificates, yet Nigerians continue to support such politicians.

Amaechi lamented that in other countries, grave issues that typically trigger mass protests are met with apathy by Nigerians, who, in his view, do not take matters seriously.

“Nigerians appear unresponsive. Has any politician ever confessed to being free of corruption? You shout ‘forgery’—but has any politician claimed they didn’t forge documents? Did any politician tell you they pursued higher education? Did any politician declare their completion of NYSC? Did any politician say they possess valid certificates?” he inquired.

“Nigerians are well aware and still cast their votes, so why should I be concerned? No, please tell me, why should I be concerned? Tell me, why should I voice my opinion when there’s nothing genuinely new?

“Nigerians appear untroubled by most issues, so why should I expend my time and effort? I’ve chosen to remain silent and not speak out because Nigerians tend to take no action.
