Additionally, the Governor has sanctioned cash transfers to support financially vulnerable citizens. This announcement was verified by Mr. Dan Nwome, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, who outlined the following:

  • Governor Peter Mbah endorses supplementary palliatives for workers.
  • Cash transfers allocated to indigent citizens.
  • Civil servants, teachers, and local government workers to receive payments ranging from N10,000 to N25,000 monthly for a duration of five months.
  • Consideration for the renegotiation of the minimum wage for workers.
  • Expansion of the state’s social register, increasing beneficiaries for cash transfers from 43,000 to 260,000 individuals.
