Law Enforcement Busts Drug Syndicate In Nairobi, Detains Four African Suspects....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In an ongoing campaign targeting drug traffickers and dealers in Nairobi, Kenya, authorities apprehended four suspects, including three Nigerian nationals, on Saturday night, March 16, 2024.

The operation, led by a collaboration of Anti-Narcotics and Transnational Organized Crimes detectives, aims to curb the illicit drug trade in the region. Among the detained individuals, Igboke Okwuchukwu Stephen, the first suspect, was discovered with concealed pellets of brown powdery substance at his residence in Nasra Estate, Nairobi. He was subsequently held at Muthaiga Police Station for further proceedings.

In a separate incident during a stop-and-search operation in Ruaka, Kiambu County, Njuguna Karumo, aged 25, was arrested after a similar substance was found hidden beneath the mats of his motorcycle. He was then transported to DCI’s Mazingira Complex for interrogation.

Additionally, an intelligence-led operation in Nyamakima, Nairobi CBD, led to the apprehension of Ilo Ebuka Titus and Kanu Arinze. Both suspects were escorted to their residence at Sunton, Kasarani, where suspected narcotics and a package of brown powdery substance were seized. Kanu and Ebuka were subsequently taken to Muthaiga Police Station for further processing pending drug testing and potential prosecution for drug-related offenses.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the crackdown spans across all counties and is part of a concerted effort to combat drug-related activities at the grassroots level, with law enforcement agencies rigorously enforcing anti-narcotic laws.
