The Nasarawa State Police Command successfully arrested 10 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud, commonly referred to as “Yahoo boys,” within the Keffi Local Government Area. During the operation, law enforcement recovered two laptops, 10 advanced mobile phones from various brands, three WIFI routers, as well as items such as criminal charms, black soap, and illicit substances, including Loud weed and dried leaves suspected to be marijuana.
The arrested suspects have reportedly admitted to participating in internet fraud, specifically known as Yahoo Plus. Upon the conclusion of the ongoing investigation, they will face charges in court.
Commending the officers for their successful operation, Commissioner of Police CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni encouraged the continuation of raids on all potential criminal hideouts to maintain public safety.
