Victor Henderson, a well-known business litigation attorney in Chicago, acknowledged Tinubu as a respected CSU graduate and a significant figure in the United States.
In a press statement dated August 2, 2023, Henderson addressed the situation, criticizing Atiku Abubakar and his followers for attempting to access the President’s confidential educational records through an improper lawsuit, without adhering to basic due process or requesting the records directly from the President himself.
Henderson stated, “The goal of Abubakar and others, of course, is to stain the President’s character and reputation and to try to steal an election that they lost.
” He emphasized that the court’s dismissal of the lawsuit vindicated the President and his supporters. Additionally, a leading Chicago State official reaffirmed that President Tinubu is a distinguished alumnus of the university.
