According to DAILY POST, Stephen Abuwatseya issued a public apology to Alex Ikwechegh following an altercation that occurred during a package delivery on October 28. The incident, which saw Ikwechegh assault the e-hailing driver, took place at the lawmaker’s mansion in Maitama, Abuja, and was captured in a viral video.

In a new video, VeryDarkMan, alongside his lawyer Deji Adeyanju, discussed their efforts to hold Ikwechegh accountable for the alleged assault. The pair revealed that Ikwechegh’s team had reached out to them, attempting to negotiate compensation for the driver after the incident gained attention online.

VeryDarkMan proposed that Abuwatseya should be compensated with N20 million and a car, while the lawmaker suggested a reduced amount of N5 million and a car. However, VeryDarkMan accused the driver of secretly forming a relationship with Ikwechegh, behind their backs. He expressed disappointment over the apology, believing it had been coerced from the driver.

Additionally, Deji Adeyanju and Partners, the legal firm representing Abuwatseya, has since withdrawn its services after the apology was issued.
