London Drama: 2Baba Reacts To Viral Arrest Story Over Natasha Scuffle
Legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has broken his silence over viral reports claiming he was arrested in London.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
A blogger had alleged that the music icon was detained after an altercation with his wife, Natasha, which reportedly explained his absence from his UK tour on Thursday, with domestic violence cited as the reason.
Reacting via Instagram, 2Baba clarified that he was not arrested but had suffered a serious medical emergency. He thanked fans who turned up for the show and assured them that the event would be rescheduled.
He wrote:
“First of all, I want to appreciate everyone that came out. We had a medical emergency—it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we’ll regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if you don’t know the facts, don’t spread false information. I’m tired of all these baseless allegations.”
Meanwhile, 2Baba’s management dismissed claims that controversies surrounding his relationships and marriage have negatively affected his career.
Chioma Ebubedike-Igbokwe, Head of Legal and Communication at A Guy Entertainment, stated that 2Baba’s legacy remains untouchable, stressing that the global rise of afrobeats is built on foundations laid by pioneers like him.
She further noted that the management is focused on building platforms where 2Baba’s influence and voice remain indispensable, rather than competing with the new wave of artistes.
