Love Or Nothing! Tiwa Savage Reveals Reason Behind 3-Year S3x Abstinence

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Tiwa Savage, has opened up about her private life, revealing that she has been celibate for the past three years.

The singer explained that her decision stemmed from the end of her last relationship three years ago. She noted that intimacy, for her, only comes naturally when she is in love.

In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, she said:

“I have gone three years without sex. It’s not something I’m really into or crazy about. I have to be in love to even have the urge for sex. I have to be with someone before I can think about it. I don’t even have sex toys. Maybe I need to… maybe people should get me some for Christmas.”

Beyond her personal revelations, Tiwa also addressed her fallout with fellow artist Davido, which became public in December 2023.

She explained that the rift began after she shared an Instagram story featuring Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama. According to her, her bond with Momodu developed naturally because their children attend the same school and have been close since childhood.

Tiwa noted that Davido misread the situation and assumed she was taking sides, which sparked heated exchanges. She added that she felt unsafe after receiving threatening messages, prompting her to file a police petition—not out of hostility, but as a precautionary step.

The singer stressed that she attempted to resolve the matter privately by reaching out to Davido’s family before it went public.

While confirming she hasn’t spoken to Davido since the clash, Tiwa insisted she harbors no hatred toward him.

“He thought I was taking sides, which wasn’t the case. Sophia is simply the mother of my son’s friend. Our kids have been close since they were one, and now they’re 10. I’ve known David for years, but I also built a bond with Sophia. I didn’t even know there were issues between them.

I reached out to his family first, hoping to settle it quietly. When I got no response and the threats persisted, I had to act for safety, not revenge. I haven’t spoken to him since then, but I still care about him. Our children’s well-being comes first—that’s what matters most.”
