According to the LP, the ruling, which they deemed “unusual and perplexing,” appeared to be aimed at disrupting and weakening the strong arguments presented by their gubernatorial candidate, Chijoke Edeoga.

The LP’s response is outlined in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, on Wednesday.

The statement mentioned that an Abuja High Court had recently dismissed the allegations of NYSC certificate forgery against Governor Mbah.

Ifoh added that Justice Inyang Ekwo’s ruling was just another example of unusual court decisions that seemed to mock the country’s legal system and challenge its democratic processes.

The LP emphasized that the judiciary should protect its reputation and refrain from actions that might undermine the will of the people of Enugu State, as expressed in the recent gubernatorial election.
