Represented by the Director-General of Special Services at the Government House, retired AVM Ibrahim Umar, Governor Yusuf addressed a one-day training workshop organized by the Kano State Police Command.

He encouraged police officers and other security personnel participating in the capacity-building workshop to familiarize themselves with the intricacies of the Administration of the Criminal Justice System Law (ACJL).

The governor highlighted that this second edition of the training workshop marks a significant advancement in enhancing the capabilities and expertise of law enforcement agencies, enabling them to effectively carry out their duties while adhering to the laws governing criminal justice in the state.

Yusuf emphasized that the event demonstrates the state government’s commitment to the effective administration of justice and that ACJL remains a crucial piece of legislation aimed at modernizing and streamlining the criminal justice system.

He remarked, “ACJL places strong emphasis on safeguarding the rights of both the accused and the victims, ensuring that justice is served promptly and fairly.”
