In a statement released on Thursday morning in Abuja, Lukman, the immediate past National Vice Chairman (North West) of the APC, revealed this interaction.

He emphasized that he secured a commitment from Akande and Oshiomhole regarding the imperative to realign the APC with its foundational principles of progressivism.

During these encounters, Lukman discussed various recent developments within the party, including his forthcoming book titled ‘APC and Transition Politics.

‘ The book serves as a comprehensive documentation of events within the party and offers solutions to combat the anti-democratic tendencies that have affected it.

Lukman also mentioned that he had a recent meeting with the current National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, during which he presented the book in preparation for its launch.

He stated, “I had meetings with two former National Chairmen of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

I initially met with Chief Akande on September 18, and subsequently, on Wednesday, September 28, I met with Comrade Oshiomhole. In both of these meetings, we delved into recent developments within the APC, including my initiative to produce the publication, ‘APC and Transition Politics.'”
