Madness Must Match Madness!’ — Pere Calls For Tyla’s Visa Ban Ahead Of Lagos Concert

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Pere Egbi has called on Nigerian authorities to deny visas to South African singer Tyla and members of her team following reports that Nigerian artiste Ayra Starr and some of her crew were unable to secure South African visas.

The call comes after Ayra Starr’s scheduled performance in South Africa was reportedly cancelled when she and members of her team allegedly failed to obtain visas just days before the event.

Reacting to the development on X, Pere urged the Nigeria Immigration Service to adopt a similar approach toward Tyla and her entourage, arguing that Nigerian entertainers should not face visa hurdles abroad while South African artistes continue to enjoy unrestricted access to Nigeria.

According to him, Nigeria should respond with reciprocal measures over the reported treatment of Ayra Starr and her team.

Pere also disagreed with activist Omoyele Sowore, who had opposed calls for Nigerians to boycott Tyla’s planned concert in Lagos.

Maintaining his position, the reality TV star insisted that Nigeria should take a tougher stance by denying entry to Tyla and her crew.

In his post, Pere wrote: “Nigerian @nigimmigration we are collectively imploring you to intentionally deny Tyla and her team visas as well. They can’t do this to our own and we welcome their own. Madness must match madness.”
