Sh*cking Twist! GehGeh Reveals His Wedding Was Staged, Not Real

Nigerian content creator Emmanuel Obruste, popularly known as GehGeh, has revealed that the widely circulated videos claiming to show his wedding were staged and never represented a real marriage ceremony.

Speaking in an interview with StreamRewind, GehGeh explained that the event was organised as a promotional campaign and a social experiment aimed at testing public reactions and addressing what he described as widespread misconceptions about his content.

The videos, which showed the influencer alongside a woman dressed in matching burgundy traditional outfits at what appeared to be a wedding, sparked intense reactions online. Many critics accused him of contradicting his previous views on marriage after the clips went viral.

Although GehGeh initially responded by insisting he had never advised people not to marry, he stopped short of confirming whether the ceremony was genuine.

He has now clarified that the event was deliberately staged.

According to him, the exercise was intended to gauge how the public would respond and to challenge what he described as false interpretations of the messages he shares through his “GehGeh Wisdom and Knowledge University.”

GehGeh also addressed his personal views on marriage, stressing that he is not opposed to the institution but believes polygamy is preferable to monogamy.

He argued that having multiple wives reduces the likelihood of emotional manipulation by one partner, adding that he considers polygamy a practice rooted in the traditions of previous generations and a key principle of the ideas he promotes.
