Major Drug And Weapon Bust: Three Suspects Nabbed In Delta Police Operation

During the operation, law enforcement officers seized three cartons containing 100 bottles of codeine and 400 sachets of tramadol from the suspects. Additionally, another individual, Fidelis Akpos (23 years old) from Ewhu community in Ughelli South LGA, was arrested on the Kwale-Ogwashi-Uku Expressway. He was found in possession of a concealed, locally fabricated pistol and two live cartridges, which were hidden inside a polythene bag containing smoked fish, while traveling in a commercial Sienna bus.

The report was confirmed by CP Ari Muhammed Ali, who heads the Delta State Police Command. The statement, signed by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, outlined the details of the arrests and the items confiscated during the operations.
