Major Shakeup In Nigerian Police Force: IGP Egbetokun Deploys Seven AIGs And Eighteen CPs

In addition, 18 Commissioners of Police (CPs), who are awaiting promotion to AIG rank pending approval from the Police Service Commission (PSC), have been posted to strategic offices across the country.

This extensive redeployment is part of the IGP’s strategy to reinforce the Nigeria Police Force and improve its capacity to effectively carry out its responsibilities.

List of Newly Assigned AIGs

The newly appointed AIGs include:

• AIG Margaret Ochalla – Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos
• AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo – Zone 13, Ukpo
• AIG Fred Ekokotu – Zone 11, Osogbo
• AIG Iwo Nemi Edwin Osigboka – Border Patrol Force, Force Headquarters, Abuja
• AIG Garba Ahmed – Department of Training and Development (DTD), Force Headquarters, Abuja
• AIG Salman Dogo – Zone 5, Benin
• AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu – Zone 9, Umuahia

Deployment of 18 CPs Acting as AIGs

The IGP also confirmed the redeployment of 18 CPs, who will serve as acting AIGs pending the PSC’s approval. The newly posted CPs are as follows:
