The Lagos State Police Command reported the apprehension of Adegun Aboderin, a 33-year-old male, for unlawful possession of a pistol. Aboderin was taken into custody in the Abule-Ado area of the state during a routine stop-and-search operation.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, revealed the arrest through a post on his social media handle on Thursday, May 23. Hundeyin stated that a locally manufactured semi-automatic pistol was seized from the suspect.
The spokesperson provided details of the arrest, including the suspect’s name, age, the recovered exhibit, location, time, and method of arrest. Hundeyin further mentioned that an investigation into the matter has been initiated by the command.
