Police in Kano State have arrested 30-year-old Hisbullahi Sani along with two accomplices in connection with the alleged kidnapping of his four-year-old cousin in Gwarzo Local Government Area.

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the police spokesperson, confirmed the arrests in a statement to DAILY POST. He reported that the Kano State Police Command Surveillance Team made significant progress in the case involving the abduction of Muhammad Nasir Jamilu.

According to Kiyawa, the young boy was taken from Sharada Quarters in Kano, transported to Gwarzo Town, and held captive while a ransom of ten million naira (₦10,000,000) was demanded. After negotiations, a payment of three hundred thousand naira (₦300,000) was made, with the remainder still pending.

Following the report, Commissioner of Police Salman Dogo Garba ordered an immediate rescue operation and a manhunt for the suspects. The investigation led to the arrest of Hisbullahi Sani, Hassan Ali Rabiu, and Hassan Aliyu.

The boy was rescued unharmed, taken to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital in Kano for a check-up, and later reunited with his family. The suspects will face prosecution in court after the investigation is complete.
