Mojeed was remanded at the Agodi Correctional Centre while awaiting legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). His address was not disclosed in court.

The court did not take Mojeed’s plea and instructed that the case file be sent to the DPP for further advice. The case has been adjourned to October 14, 2024, for this purpose.

Earlier, Prosecutor Inspector Gbemisola Adedeji informed the court that the alleged crime occurred on July 21 at 5:00 p.m. in the Ebedi area of Ibadan. According to Adedeji, Mojeed lured the girl into his room and sexually assaulted her. The charges against Mojeed violate Section 34 of the Oyo State Child’s Rights Law, 2006.
