According to Hundeyin, the State Criminal Investigation Department received information on January 16 around 1 p.m. regarding a Toyota Hilux vehicle suspected to be stolen. Acting swiftly, a team of detectives initiated an investigation, leading to the tracing and location of the vehicle at Ilukogun village, situated on the boundary between Lagos State and Ogun.

Hundeyin revealed that the vehicle was recovered from a man named Arthur Benjamin in the aforementioned village. Upon interrogation, Benjamin admitted to stealing the vehicle from his workplace with the intention of selling it to facilitate his escape to Ghana with his family.

“The suspect was arrested, and he confessed to having stolen the vehicle from his workplace, intending to sell it and run away to Ghana with his family. Investigation is still ongoing to potentially apprehend other members of his criminal gang,” Hundeyin stated.
