Man Taken Into Custody For Phone Theft At Restaurant, Caught On CCTVOperatives from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested Ifeanyi Okonkwo, a man caught on CCTV stealing a phone at an eatery on Kafi Street in the Alausa area of Ikeja.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to a post from the RRS official X account, Okonkwo was apprehended when he returned to the same restaurant a month after the theft.
On November 7, 2024, Okonkwo visited the eatery to buy food but instead stole a Samsung A15 mobile phone that belonged to another customer. Unbeknownst to him, the theft was recorded on CCTV as he quietly took the phone from the counter.
The suspect returned to the restaurant on December 5, where he was recognized and swiftly arrested by RRS operatives. The phone was later recovered from the buyer, and Okonkwo has been charged in court for the theft.
