Banky Wellington recently shared a video offering a glimpse into his life after relocating abroad. The singer, actor, and politician is seen in various moments of domestic care—cooking, cleaning, feeding his young son, doing dishes, and bringing meals to his wife, Adesua Etomi-Wellington. He’s also captured storing expressed milk for their newborn.
In the video, Banky emphasizes that “Marriage is 100-100, not 50-50,” showing his commitment to equal partnership in his marriage. He notes that while his wife carried the physical demands of childbirth, he supports her and their children by managing household duties, balancing his studies, and his work responsibilities.
Banky, who moved abroad to pursue a Master’s degree at Georgetown University, elaborates on his approach to marriage. He shared in the caption: “Partnership is 100-100, not 50-50. In this season, I’ve been a chef, housekeeper, nanny, homework helper, masseuse, and more—all to support my wife and be a present father. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier.”
He also highlighted the importance of supporting women’s economic empowerment and family wellbeing, encouraging men to “do the needful.” Banky is dedicated to advocating for working mothers through his studies, aiming to uplift women everywhere.
