The final tweets of late Arise TV anchor, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, have resurfaced online, leaving Nigerians in shock.

The 29-year-old journalist was killed during a robbery at her Katampe residence in Abuja on Monday, September 29.

In one of her posts shared in August, Somtochukwu had written a chilling prayer: “I pray from the depth of my heart that Nigeria never happens to me or anyone I care about.”

The resurfacing of these words has left friends, colleagues, and followers deeply shaken, with many pointing to her tweets as a haunting reflection of her fears about insecurity in the country.

A close friend revealed that in their last conversation, she confided about personal struggles, saying it felt as though “something was trying to consume” her.

Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into her death. Commissioner of Police, Ajao Adewale, has ordered intelligence and tactical units to track down the attackers, assuring the public that those responsible will be brought to justice.

The command has also urged residents to cooperate with security operatives by reporting suspicious activities and sharing credible information that could aid the probe.
