MC Fish’s Girlfriend Gbemi Reveals Why She Quit Her Three-Year Oil And Gas Job After Gaining Fame

Gbemi, the girlfriend of Nigerian comedian MC Fish, has opened up about her career journey and explained why she left her three-year job in the oil and gas industry after gaining popularity.

Speaking during a live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Gbemi revealed that she had previously worked in event planning and artist management before taking up a conventional 9-to-5 job.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Gbemi explained that becoming a mother made it difficult for her to continue with event planning and artist management, prompting her to pursue a more structured career in the oil and gas sector.

She said her growing popularity eventually influenced her decision to leave the job and return to opportunities connected to the entertainment industry.

Gbemi explained that she leveraged the contacts she had built over the years to establish a business around MC Fish and his work as an MC.

“I quit my three years old oil and gas job due to my newfound popularity, I left it. Prior to my 9-5 job, I was doing event planning and artist management, then I had my kid with my baby daddy, and when that happened I couldn’t continue with it.

“So what I just did is, since I have my contacts, and my baby is an MC, I started building my business around MC Fish and it’s going well,” she said.

Gbemi’s comments come amid public attention surrounding MC Fish and his estranged wife, actress Anita Joseph, following their highly publicised marital dispute. MC Fish has made several allegations concerning their failed marriage, including claims relating to their personal and family experiences. The allegations have continued to generate reactions online.
