The candlelight procession was arranged by the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) to pay tribute to Dr. Diaso’s sudden death and to demand justice for the tragic incident.
The young doctor was trapped in the elevator for more than 40 minutes, resulting in fatal injuries.
In response to the unfortunate incident, the Lagos State Chapter of NMA declared a 5-day statewide mourning over the loss of their colleague and called for an indefinite strike in the three State Hospitals.
The association is demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Dr. Diaso’s death and seeking justice on her behalf.
