According to a statement signed by the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the leaders urged President Tinubu to support Kogi West Senatorial District in producing the next governor of the state for the November 11 election.

In response to the concerns raised by the Okun leaders, Tinubu promised to address the issues of marginalization and power rotation in the state.

He acknowledged the importance of fair representation and equal rights for all Senatorial Districts, stating that democracy is a game of numbers.

President Tinubu also mentioned the late Abubakar Audu’s agreement on power rotation and how circumstances led to the current government in the state. He expressed his appreciation for the leadership of the Okun community and their position, assuring them that he will delve deeper into the issues raised.

Tinubu acknowledged the complexity of democratic processes, including conflicts and conflict resolution, and emphasized that some arrangements couldn’t be fulfilled due to unforeseen circumstances.
