Mele Kyari Must Be Sacked And Probed: Deji Adeyanju Accuses NNPCL Boss Of Corruption And Nepotism

Prominent political activist, Deji Adeyanju, has called on President Tinubu to initiate a probe into the operations of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), specifically targeting Group CEO, Mele Kyari. In a series of tweets, Adeyanju wrote: “Mele Kyari has destroyed NNPC with corruption, tribalism, and nepotism, a professional industry for that matter. Tinubu must sack and probe him immediately. He has more questions to answer than Emefiele.”

The activist further referred to the arrest of Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), dubbing it as a ‘drama’ and a ‘joke’. “Charging Meffy [Emefiele] for unlawful possession of a firearm is the biggest joke ever. Malami & Mele Kyari will also get away with everything. Tunde Sabiu has gotten away already. I hear Aso Rock folks have met Meffy severally in DSS custody asking him to return some money he stole.”

Adeyanju’s strong comments indicate his discontent with the current state of affairs within the Nigerian government and the handling of high-profile cases involving senior officials. He insists that President Tinubu should pivot attention towards the alleged corruption within the NNPCL under Kyari’s leadership.
