Men With Vision: Excitement Grips Edolites As Akpata Shares Ideas With Obi, Donald, Others For A Better Edo At A Recent Event

Thursday, the 16th of May, was a memorable day for Chief Dele Momodu, the Chairman of Ovation Media Group, as he turned a year older. His birthday event was followed by a leadership lecture attended by many dignitaries from across the continent, addressing the pressing needs of the common man with the theme “The Politics of Energy and the Way Forward.”

One of the guests who captured the media’s attention among the numerous attendees was Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, the leading gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Edo election under the platform of the Labour Party.

Akpata, sharing insights from the event, thanked the organizers for creating such a platform for leaders to discuss the pressing needs of the common man, with Stable Electricity being one of his foremost agendas if he emerges as Governor of Edo State in the fast-approaching election in September. Recall that the Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate previously narrated how he intends to improve electricity in the state if elected.

Why Stable Electricity? Stable electricity in Edo State and Nigeria at large would revolutionize daily life for millions, fostering economic growth, improving healthcare, enhancing education, and bolstering the overall quality of life.

The Ex-NBA President also revealed that he has garnered some recommendations from the three best-performing Governors in the history of Nigeria, in no particular order: Peter Obi of Anambra, Donald Duke of Calabar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano. He seeks to implement the ideas he gathered from this gathering if given the opportunity to lead Edolites from Osadebe Avenue.
