Methodist Leader Emphasizes Nigeria’s Population As Pillar Of Global Economy

The Prelate of the Methodist Church in Nigeria, Oliver Ali Aba, emphasized that both the African and global economies greatly depend on Nigeria’s substantial population for their advancement.

Speaking on Friday at Okai Item, Bende LGA of Abia State, during the 60th birthday celebration of Methodist Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, the Prelate underscored that Nigeria’s population, estimated at around 200 million, bestows upon it a significant economic edge among nations. He highlighted the nation’s abundant natural and human resources distributed across various regions.

Despite Nigeria grappling with multifaceted challenges, the Prelate expressed optimism about the country’s trajectory towards progress. He stressed that Nigeria’s burgeoning population renders it indispensable to the global economy.

“Nigeria is transcending its struggles and aspirations for greatness. With a population of approximately 200 million, Nigeria’s significance in the global economic landscape cannot be overstated,” he remarked.
