PRESS STATEMENT
CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO GOVERNOR MONDAY OKPEBHOLO ON HIS VICTORY AT THE EDO STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION TRIBUNAL

I extend my warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, on the well-deserved victory at the Edo State Governorship Election Tribunal. This verdict is not only a personal triumph but a reaffirmation of the collective will of the people of Edo State, as freely and fairly expressed at the polls.

I also heartily congratulate the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa for his dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the development of Edo State in line with the vision of the Governor.
This victory reflects the confidence the people have in both of you as a leadership team capable of delivering real progress and meaningful change.

The landmark judgment by the tribunal is a strong validation of the democratic process and a testament to the resilience and impartiality of our judiciary. With this legal hurdle now behind us, the time has come to move past politics and focus squarely on governance.

The people of Edo are eager for transformational leadership, and it is imperative that this administration channels its energy into delivering the dividends of democracy in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. Edo State must now witness an era of inclusive development, youth and women empowerment, infrastructural revival, and peace-driven progress which your administration has already commenced visible and impactful work in this regard.

I call on all stakeholders, including those who contested the outcome of the election, to accept the tribunal’s decision in good faith. The judiciary has spoken. Let us all put aside political differences and join hands with Governor Okpebholo and his deputy to build a more united and prosperous Edo State.

As Honourable Minister of Regional Development, I reaffirm my commitment to working closely with the Edo State Government to ensure impactful regional projects that benefit our people and promote equitable growth across all localities.

Congratulations once again to Governor Monday Okpebholo and Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa. The people have placed their trust in you—may your leadership justify their hope and confidence.
