The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has revealed that he believes God assured him the abducted pupils and teachers from Oyo State would eventually regain their freedom in what he described as a dramatic manner.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The cleric was reacting to the abduction of pupils and teachers from three schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. Armed attackers reportedly invaded Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, Primary School, Esiele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School on May 15, abducting about 32 people.

During the ordeal, one of the victims, mathematics teacher Michael Oyedokun, was reportedly killed while in captivity.

Speaking in a video recorded at a faith award ceremony in Washington, D.C., Adeboye said news of the incident moved him to pray fervently for the safe return of the victims.

According to him, his prayers became more intense after reports emerged that the kidnappers had murdered one of the teachers and circulated a video of the killing, an act he said left many people questioning the effectiveness of prayer and asking where God was amid the tragedy.

Adeboye explained that the criticisms prompted him to seek divine direction through earnest prayer.

He said that during that period, he believed God spoke to him and assured him that the kidnapped pupils would be released in an extraordinary way. However, he noted that he was not given any indication of when or how the release would occur.

The RCCG leader added that he was instructed to leave the matter in God’s hands, while also claiming that he received further revelations about what would happen after the incident, including what he said would be the fate of individuals allegedly sponsoring terrorism and kidnapping in Nigeria, as well as other future developments.

Adeboye did not provide additional details regarding those revelations, saying only that he had not anticipated the events that would later unfold.
