The video, which was reportedly recorded in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja, showed Anuku dressed in jeans, a black top and sneakers while sitting near a roadside. In the clip, he appeared to be talking to himself while holding a disposable cup, prompting widespread discussion across social media platforms.

As the footage gained traction online, many users questioned the actor’s well-being.

Reacting to the concerns during an interview with Premium Times, Allen urged the public not to jump to conclusions based on a short video clip.

According to him, Anuku’s expressive personality and artistic nature are often misunderstood by people unfamiliar with his creative approach to life.

Allen explained that actors frequently immerse themselves in imagination and creative thought, adding that such behaviour should not automatically be interpreted as evidence of mental illness.

He described Anuku as a responsible family man with children, insisting there was nothing unusual about what was seen in the viral video.

The manager argued that sitting by the roadside, talking to oneself or reflecting while holding a drink does not amount to proof that someone is mentally unstable. He suggested that the actor could simply have been rehearsing a role, reflecting deeply or exercising his creativity.

Allen further maintained that the video did not show Anuku engaging in any violent, abusive or inappropriate behaviour that would justify the conclusions many people had drawn.

Reaffirming his confidence in the actor’s condition, Allen said he has worked closely with Anuku for several years and can attest that the Nollywood star is mentally sound.

He insisted that Anuku is in good health and, in his opinion, has never been in a better mental state, stressing that his unconventional behaviour reflects his artistic personality rather than any mental health challenge.
