Counter-terrorism expert Zagazola Makama revealed that Judge Usman of the Sharia Court was reported missing on June 26 after being abducted by unknown gunmen in Gummi LGA, Zamfara State.
Remarkably, the judge returned home on the morning of June 27 around 10 a.m., after spending just a day in captivity. He was immediately taken to a medical centre for evaluation but was discharged following successful tests.
Following his return, security operatives conducted a thorough debriefing before allowing him to rejoin his family.
Zamfara Police spokesman Yazid Abubakar confirmed both the abduction and the escape, though he withheld further details. “He has been reunited with his family. That is all I can tell you,” he said.
