Mr. Ezekiel Enejeta, founder of the foundation, shared with South-South PUNCH that the renovation aimed to restore and enhance the palace’s historic and cultural significance. The project followed Enejeta’s visit to the monarch on July 26, 2024, where he identified the need for improvements.

Enejeta stated, “Olomoro is an integral part of the Isoko region, known for its cultural heritage and economic contributions in agriculture and oil and gas. My pledge was to restore the palace to reflect the esteemed status of our monarchy and cultural identity.”

The renovation included new flooring, plastering, and painting, contributing to a revitalized appearance and renewed pride in the community. Enejeta emphasized that the project not only beautifies the palace but also reinforces Olomoro’s cultural heritage within the Isoko nation.

The Odiologbo of Olomoro expressed deep gratitude for the foundation’s support, especially during challenging economic times. He commended Enejeta for his dedication to enhancing the royal residence and bringing dignity to the throne.
