NAHCON’s Chairman/CEO, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, extended condolences to the Kebbi State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board and the family of the deceased, praying for comfort from Allah for them.
Dr. Aliyu Tanko, the Makkah Office Coordinator, conveyed a message of condolence to the board officials, led by Chairman Garba Takware. He expressed sincere sympathy to the family and the people of Kebbi, praying for the departed soul to find eternal peace.
In response, Takware thanked the Commission’s leadership for their visit and offered prayers for a successful Hajj Operation. Special supplications were made for the deceased, other pilgrims, and Nigeria during the visit, attended by the Saudi Liaison Officer, Ustaz Abubakar Lamin, and other staff members.
In a separate context, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State cautioned pilgrims against engaging in money laundering during their spiritual journey. Represented by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lawal Pedro (SAN), the governor emphasized severe consequences for anyone involved in such criminal activities. He also urged pilgrims to adhere to regulations, abstaining from carrying prohibited items like hard drugs, kolanuts, and bitter kola.
