Nigerian comedian, Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, widely known as Mr Jollof, has extended an apology to singer Duncan Mighty following a recent dispute. The comedian had accused Duncan Mighty of failing to honor a concert commitment in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid N3 million. In a video message posted on his Instagram page, Mr Jollof clarified that his initial call-out was based on incorrect advice, and he never anticipated Duncan Mighty would not reimburse him. Expressing remorse, he stated, “Bros, abeg no vex. We youths we are quick to react due to stigmatization. I didn’t believe you would scam me but the advice I was receiving from people was why I called you out. Please don’t be angry with me. All my threats were mere rantings. Forgive me, I’m not perfect.”
Moreover, Mr Jollof also issued an apology to DJ Barbie, who was previously criticized for not appearing at the same event after receiving payment. The comedian confirmed that he had received a refund of the N600,000 he had sent to DJ Barbie and acknowledged the misunderstanding.
This development marks a reconciliation between Mr Jollof and Duncan Mighty, highlighting the importance of clarifications and understanding in resolving disputes within the entertainment industry.
