Muhammad vs Jesus— Ex-Muslim Man Reveals Why He Left Islam For Christianity

A man identified as Samuel Ahmad has sparked reactions online after sharing his reasons for leaving Islam and embracing Christianity.

Ahmad explained his decision in a Facebook post, where he encouraged people to study Islam through the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, claiming that his own examination of the religion strengthened his decision to follow Jesus Christ.

According to him, comparing the teachings and accounts associated with Islam and Christianity led him to develop a different understanding of the two faiths.

“CAREFULLY STUDY ISLAM THROUGH THE LIFE OF PROPHET MOHAMMED and you will see more reasons why I debunked Islam and I embrace Jesus who is God,” he wrote.

Ahmad went on to compare passages from Islamic and Christian scriptures, arguing that the teachings and actions attributed to Prophet Muhammad differed from those associated with Jesus Christ.

He particularly focused on issues surrounding violence, forgiveness and the treatment of opponents, claiming that Jesus’ teachings emphasised love and forgiveness.

Ahmad also cited passages from the Quran and Bible to support his interpretation, including references to teachings on fighting opponents, forgiveness and the Christian belief in Jesus’ crucifixion.

In another part of his post, he explained that his decision to embrace Christianity represented more than a change of religious identity, saying it also involved adopting a different approach to life and personal priorities.

Quoting from the Bible, Ahmad encouraged Christians to focus on following Jesus rather than allowing personal desires to take precedence.

“When we come to Christ, we’re no longer the most important person in the world to us; Christ is. Instead of living only for ourselves, we have a higher goal: to live for Jesus,” he wrote.

His comments have generated mixed reactions on social media, with users expressing different views about his decision to leave Islam, embrace Christianity and publicly compare the teachings of the two religions.

The views expressed in Ahmad’s post represent his personal interpretation of Islamic and Christian texts and historical accounts.
